Uniting for Health and Hope
Blood and platelet donations are not just medical necessities; they are lifelines that embody the spirit of community and compassion. On a remarkable day, November 26th, this spirit was vividly showcased at the Ube Tower Auditorium, 15th Floor, 628 Ongpin Street, Binondo, Manila. From 7 AM to 5 PM, it wasn’t merely about collecting blood; it was a gathering of hearts and hands united for a common cause.
A Day to Remember
The event started with the early morning light, bringing in an enthusiastic crowd ready to make a difference. The atmosphere buzzed with a sense of purpose. The TXTFIRE fire volunteers, along with other dedicated individuals, were instrumental, assisting donors, managing the process, and ensuring everything ran seamlessly.
Our ambitious goal was to support the National Kidney Transplant Institute, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and the Philippine Blood Center through blood and platelet donations. By the day’s end, we proudly gathered 431 units of blood and 12 platelet apheresis donations. Each donation stood as a testament to the generosity and unity of our organization.
