In a profession where bravery meets danger every day, our fire volunteers stand at the frontlines, protecting lives and property often at great personal risk. While our volunteers do their best to minimize accidents, the reality is that firefighting will always carry hazards. From injuries sustained during active fire suppression to accidents on the way to emergencies, the risks are unavoidable.
This is why partnerships matter.
TXTFIRE Philippines is proud to announce the renewal of our Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Chinese General Hospital, owned and operated by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association, Inc. (PCCAI). For years, this partnership has been a pillar of support in caring for the health and well-being of our fire volunteers. The renewed MOA ensures that our members—heroes who sacrifice their time and safety for the community—receive vital assistance in times of injury or illness.
Supporting Volunteers in Times of Need
The renewed agreement covers emergency care and hospitalization assistance for our volunteers injured in the line of duty. Beyond that, it also extends to sickness benefits for bonafide TXTFIRE members, ensuring that help is available not only in the heat of battle but also during times of personal health struggles.
This year alone, 10 of our volunteers have already benefited from this MOA—some treated for injuries on the fireground, and others for accidents sustained while rushing to respond to alarms. These stories remind us that behind every siren and every firetruck, there are real people who also need protection.
