Yesterday, 7 August 2026, the Bureau of Fire Protection welcomed representatives of fire volunteer associations at the BFP National Headquarters in Quezon City for a courtesy visit and coordination meeting.
The dialogue brought together DILG Undersecretary for Public Safety Jed Patrick Mabilog, BFP Officer-in-Charge FCSUPT Wilberto Rico Neil A. Kwan Tiu, and leaders of volunteer fire associations from across the country.
TXTFIRE Philippines was represented by VP Jefferson Tiu (Patriot 28).
The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment: public safety is a collective responsibility. Stronger communication, coordination, and cooperation between the BFP and volunteer organizations will help ensure faster, more organized, and more effective service to communities nationwide.
